Our Sourcing Network

Coconut Motif

Puerto Rico's topography and maritime climate create distinct micro-regions ideal for coconut cultivation. By sourcing exclusively from the island, we maintain complete control over the harvest timing and processing latency, which is critical for product quality.

The Regions

Region Primary Characteristic Best Suited For
Northwest Coast (Isabela/Aguadilla) High limestone soils, strong Atlantic winds. Lower yield, high mineral density. Premium Coconut Water
Eastern Coast (Humacao/Yabucoa) Higher rainfall, rich alluvial soils. Larger nuts, high fat accumulation. Coconut Milk & Oil
Southern Coast (Ponce/Guánica) Drier climate. Slower growth, exceptionally dense meat. Desiccated Coconut

Harvest Timing

The age of the coconut at harvest defines its industrial application. Our field agronomists work with farmers to schedule harvests based on purchase orders.

Processing Latency

Coconuts degrade rapidly once husked. We mandate that all coconuts are transported to our central processing facility within 24 hours of harvest, and processed within 4 hours of husking. This minimizes oxidation and microbiological growth, requiring less thermal treatment and resulting in a cleaner flavor. Learn more about our quality control.
