Logistics & Shipping
Because Puerto Rico is a US territory, shipping to the mainland United States is considered domestic freight. This eliminates customs delays, import tariffs, and complex FDA prior notice requirements associated with international shipping. We offer streamlined logistics for all our industrial coconut products.
Domestic Advantage (USA)
Shipments move freely between Puerto Rico and the mainland via Jones Act compliant vessels. Transit time to East Coast ports (Jacksonville, FL or Pennsauken, NJ) is typically 3-5 days. From there, rail or truck freight can reach any US facility efficiently.
International Export
For our European and Canadian clients, shipments are routed through major transshipment hubs or shipped direct depending on volume. Standard international INCOTERMS apply (FOB San Juan or CIF preferred port).

Temperature Control Requirements
Logistics planning must account for the nature of the product:
- Aseptic Products: Aseptic water and milk ship ambient.
- Frozen Products: Unpasteurized or lightly pasteurized liquids require frozen reefer containers (-18°C).
- Coconut Oil: Extra Virgin Coconut Oil solidifies below 24°C (76°F). Winter shipments to northern climates will arrive solid. Facilities receiving IBC totes of oil must have drum heaters or heated storage rooms to decant the product.
